For the Record

There’s no doubt that vinyl records have come back into popularity, if only to show appreciation for authentic musical posterity. Most of us just have them on display on a shelf, occasionally bringing them out to play on the old family gramophone; but with jazz musicians being known for radical, inventive thinking in music, it seems fitting a jazz saxophonist has chosen to shingle his roof with them!

As featured by those eco-troubadours at Treehugger, the US man has apparently put 350 damaged records to good use, building the roof over his porch using a nail and washer through each spindle hole, laid over a wooden frame.
