Don’t over commit. House ownership is supposed to be enjoyable, so even if a bank will lend you a lot of money make sure it remains firmly within your budget. That’s the other tip; work on a budget, simplify your banking and automate everything possible.

First home buyers are always a favourite client type for me as they soak up information and really need guidance and safety when negotiating on properties. The lending environment has changed in recent months making it much harder for first home buyers without a 20% deposit but we still have options for them and I will do my best to find a solution for them.
Families are also close to my heart. With two teenagers, I understand the stresses and lack of time that having family responsibilities can sometimes bring! I work flexible hours so can visit clients at a time which suits them, and take on the legwork involved in having the home loan processed.
